-Ambrosium torches in Minecraft is the Aether version of standard coal torches you make on the standard overworld map. Ambrosium torches are crafted by putting two skyroot sticks with an ambrosium shard. Unlike the torches you make for the normal map, the recipe for ambrosium torches only creates two torches at a time. The ambrosium torches produce the same amount of light as standard coal torches and are basically identical to the normal torches aside from the facts that the recipe is different and each batch produces a smaller quantity. Ambrosium torches can also be used to hatch moa eggs in incubators powered by ambrosium torches. Normal coal torches cannot be used because if you try to place them they explode into a cloud of black smoke.
