Usage

The Thaumometer's primary purpose is to scan blocks, entities, and aura nodes to provide the player with research points. When selected, the Thaumometer appears in the visual field and is able to reveal any aura nodes through the screen. By holding down the use item button, the player's movement will slow down as if they were sneaking. For something to be scanned, it requires a couple of seconds. Once something is scanned, its Aspects will be displayed in the center and the number of points in each aspect will be added to the player's research point reserve.

Once researched, the Thaumometer can be crafted into the Goggles of Revealing in order to see aura nodes without the need for holding it in the player's hand.
