Updating the name to "Old Village" blueprints
Due to the addition of the new village designs in Minecraft 1.14, it may be confusing to people looking for a village blueprint, if they do not know what village version they are looking at (the new blueprints are titled "New Village" but that can be confused with "Village"). My suggestion is just to change the title to "Old Village". were491 21:02, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
Purpose of this "project"
Projects on this wiki are supposed to contribute to the wiki, whereas your project only shows schematics. Would you mind moving your project to the tutorials space instead? Also, please keep all pages related to this page as subpages instead of seperate ones in the mainspace.--Quatroking - MCWiki Administrator 16:35, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
I have it under projects because I thought that the projects page was ment to also include pages that are being constantly worked on or needhelp being made. I am sorry, I am only 14 and I am really the only one working on this page. No one else has really edited this page besides me. Not only that, but I just started this week and am still learning all the commands and how things should be formatted, etc. Unknown Blake 02:17, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
first off instead of individual floor plans, create the bottom floor (as in the floor with the main stuff) and then just picture the rest if you saw my discussion you saw i summarized in one grid everything in a small hut by marking key objects on the walls and what floor would be visable if you remove the roof
also, you could link numbers in the grid almost like the sources in upcoming features to link to notes about the building, such as replacing that dirt with a 1, then have that 1 link to a seperate section about tables
to save on picture uploads, i set my pictures to be (whatever size needed) by 225 pixels, perhaps the image needs to be bigger for bigger buildings but this is probably the lowest you can go before pictures start getting blurry at the small postage stamp sizes you have set
Uh20 02:08, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
1. That wouldn't work because there could be multiple key parts stacked and also they may mistake the block under it as something else
2. I have no idea what you just said besides the part about a link.
3. I don't know what changing the size has to do with picture uploads because with a few cqmands you can change the size of your picture and there isn't another upload.

it looks like village buildings have a cobblestone base for the house its generally 0-1 high from the surrounding ground around the building, and is used to translate a house high enough to the path while looking ok
because of this, i feel pictures should be taken with the base height of 1 (cobblestone bottom of houses should be 1 high)
To get this straight, we should take pictures of the building while at ground level with it? Unknown Blake 02:22, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
not what i meant, those should be taken from center or if theres need be another height, also, f1 to remove your gui while your screenshotting
what i meant is the first floor of villages, if a building is too low then what happens is it adds another cobblestone layer to the bottom of the building
with all buildings, take a picture with the bottom floor showing, not the excess cobblestone layers, so if you took a picture of a small hut, then there should be only 1 layer of cobblestone showing because that is floor 1
also, sorry about straining about picture taking, but pictures look 200% better and easier to replicate if you standardize the resolution and key parts of the picture.
in response to 1., its both these things combined that will be able to show the building plans without creating seperate floor plans, my image is just used to express the inside of the building mainly, and pictures can express the outside of the building, its meant to be a summary, something you can understand when you look at the pictures we will be creating as well, and be able to remove some of the server-filling block tables you have been using
in response to 3., i like to reduce the data/strain i do to websites i like, uploading images in lower resolution will save some precious kb/mb while creating this page.

v2 and v3
version 3 is just a variation of v2, unlike a totally different one like v1 and v2, it does not matter that much but it seems more logical for me to mash v3 and v2 together
also, the table summary i made only applies to v2 and v3, not v1, probably should move it over
edit:moved it over myself since it was bugging me Uh20 04:17, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
l-shaped video complete!
its the basic no talk video, its recorded in 4 sections for the frame, decor, roof part 1,and roof part 2 it has basic fade in/fade out transitions and a few are done partially into the night transition, but its certainly good enough to show somebody how to make this (probably the hardest to make) building
just tell me who to send it to, or what type i need to format it in (currently osp), im assuming this is going to be youtube based right? Uh20 06:11, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Really it is good as is but if you could make the link bigger because it is easy to miss the little 1 in the corner of the word. Also I moved a lot of it around. Its very nice. I thought of the use the sign to speak to the watchers as you did it. Lol. Unknown Blake 03:28, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
Minecraft Structure Planner
I used Minecraft Structure Planner and tried to remake the buildings as best I could. There are a few limits since the program doesn't have all the blocks. I put the layouts on imgur. http://imgur.com/a/JOnOo#0 They should be better than using the icons on the wiki. Merdink 16:45, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
I have encountered L-shaped buildings of 2 types and in my game I've rebuilt and moved Forge, that had mirrored blueprint from this wiki... wanted to use this page to rebuild it, but realized, that my Forge was different :) And it would really help, that blueprints would have squares. And thanks for this project... I initially thought, that each building is generating respective profesion, like church and library is prequesite for white coats, or forge is needed to trade weapons and armors, but that is not the case... as reading before playing doesn't mention this aspect, that new generation of breeding is random profession.
Super player villages design to the ski
Using the design of the turbo scrooge Stack ontop of each other with one space between adjacent scrapers and connecting them with glass blocks have made what I think is them most efficient of all 3d stuctures. There is two flaws. No space for golems and no stairs. Of coarse you can stair scraper which has some traffc issues or you can put a ladder which villagers don't search for. For the golems you can make a sky square for them to spawn in but they can't move freely. Please show your comments and different ideas below.--MathgeekJoe 23:35, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
Suggest: moving this article
I don't think this page fits very well to Projects page, so I suggest to move this article to 'Tutorials/Constructions' and maybe merge it with 'Creating NPC Villages'. --184.108.40.206 03:57, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I've tried editing this page to include the large and small versions of the village farms, however, every time I try to do so, It refuses to load a preview or to save changes. It just repeatedly tell me that an error has occurred and to try again later. Is this just my computer being stupid or something I'm not doing right? LordVile42 22:14, 7 May 2013 (UTC)LordVile42
this is useful
For a while i have been worrying about how i am going to create an artificial village in my creative world with all the proper buildings. i thought that i would have to spend a while in a different world looking at all of the buildings but now i can just use this. thank you whoever thought of this!!! I've noticed a newly spawned village only has doors on some of the houses (50-70%, with small homes more likely to be missing their door). Also I don't think I've ever found a blacksmith with a door. I assume this is "room for expansion" and they expect the players to build doors for the villagers. 220.127.116.11 23:11, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Chances are, your village spawned weird. Also, small houses and blacksmiths never generate with doors. There's no issue here other than the fact that your village did not generate correctly.

Consider "complete" status
I recently made some massive improvements and cleanup to fix problems that it had. Consider adding this village blueprints project to be on the completion list?
- It explains how to make the buildings, but it doesn't explain how to include the villagers. 16:30, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Of course it does not. The whole point of Structure Blueprints is that it shows you how to make the structures on your own. Not all villages have villagers in them (have you seen a village with no doors at all and filled with zombie villagers?) Including villagers is not necessary because they do not spawn directly in the structures.
- Gregatron6000 (talk) 17:58, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Then yes, it is complete. 18:49, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
