Recent wiki news[edit]

  • As of November 14th, Gamepedia has been upgraded to MediaWiki version 1.31. See here for more details about the update. – November 14, 2018
  • There is now a gadget that will show a lock on the top-right corner of protected pages, with the color of the lock depending on the protection level. It is enabled by default, but registered users can disable it by going to the Gadget section of their preferences, selecting the "Display locks on the right hand corner of protected pages, with the color depending on the level of protection" option, and saving. Suggested improvements to the script should go here. – October 24, 2018
  • All local bureaucrats now have the ability to hide revisions. There is a guide on when this should be done here. – August 15, 2018
  • Local admins no longer have the user right that gives them the ability to hide revisions from most users - this action can now only performed by Gamepedia Staff. – August 13, 2018
  • A new user group called "Patrollers" has now been created. Members of this user group have the ability to rollback one's last edits to a page in one click, as well as mark other's edits as patrolled. The discussion that led to the creation of the user group can be found here, and more details about the user group itself can be found here. – July 12, 2018
  • The wiki's Discord server has now officially gone live. More info can be found here. – June 15, 2018

Requests for comment[edit]

Requests for comment are for assisting editors in gathering further input on any wiki matter. This can be useful in generating discussion, resolving disputes, or reaching consensus. All editors are welcome to assist with a request by responding within the linked talk page. Remember that the Minecraft Wiki operates on a system of consensus rather than voting, and explaining your reasoning can generally be more helpful than simply supporting one side of a dispute.

To create a new request: add an item to the bottom of the list below, using:
{{/request|Link|Brief description|date=~~~~~}}
