A map view in Minecraft Earth, showing a 3D view of the player's real-world map, with game features overlayed. Two adventure beacons appear in the distance with out-of-range tappables, and tappables in the player's tapping range appear outlined in the foreground.

The map in Minecraft Earth is the game's rendering of the player's real world around the player's GPS location.

Map display elements[edit]

At the top left corner, the player's avatar appears with the player's health gauge, and experience level below the avatar.

A compass is shown in the top right corner, pointing in the direction of north relative to the current view of the map. A small white oval on the compass indicates that the game compass is linked to the device's internal compass. In this mode, the compass and view move in real time as the player moves the device in the real world. If the white oval is missing, then the compass is de-linked from the device's internal compass, and simply shows north relative to the current view of the map.

In a row below the map, icons are shown for inventory, buildplates, Make Stuff, challenges and settings, and the game shop. The Make Stuff icon displays a number if crafted or smelted items have completed processing, and the challenges icon shows an indicator if one or more challenges are complete and ready for collecting experience.
