The behavior and attacks of the Tempest Golem are currently unknown. A melee attack is suggested by its arms being giant swords on the [[MCD:Howling Peaks|Howling Peaks]] artwork. According to the blog post about Minecraft Live 2020<ref>{{article|minecraft-live-the-recap|Minecraft Live: The Recap}}</ref>, it may also be able to summon dangerous winds which could be similar to the attack of the [[MCD:Windcaller|Windcaller]]. Despite it being extremely large in the poster, it should be about 6 blocks high.

Updraft Tome (MCD)
This page describes content that is a part of the Howling Peaks DLC.

The Tempest Golem is a new boss mob of the new Minecraft Dungeons DLC Howling Peaks. It is a larger and more powerful variant of the Squall Golem.

Appearance

Based on the cover art, the Tempest Golem is a colossal golem-like mob and a variant of the Squall Golem. Though not much of its body is shown, it retains the colors and features of a typical Squall Golem, with it being gray, being made of stone, having a golden back, and the signature two windmill-like poles. The only things differing it is its head, which is more square than rectangle, a purple stud on its forehead, smaller eyes, and a big jaw. Jade banners can be seen hanging below the Golem's chin, and its front body possesses more intricate etched lines and 4 jade blocks on each end of its body. In the cover art, its lower half and its right arm is not seen, though its left arm is shown with a big golden sword with a purple stripe in place of its left hand. Its right arm also possesses a sword, as a leaked model of it can be seen in the Minecraft Dungeons Diaries episode on howling peaks. The shard could also be located in it's lower body according to the leaked model. [1]

Story

Unlike other mobs created by the Orb of Dominance, it does not have bright purple eyes. It does however, have a purple mouth and crest-like feature on its head. The strange eye color may be due to the golem's structure. However, it does have purple pupils similar to the Arch-Illager It could also be that Squall Golems were guardians of the mountains before the Shard of the Orb came, and when it came it simply took control of a Squall Golem and gained control of all of them. This would also explain the Tempest Golem's resemblance to Squall Golems, and it's purple pupils that are similar to the Arch-Illager when he is in a trance. It is possible that the Shard is contained in the Golem's head. It appears to be made of the same materials as Squall Golems, with the addition of the Shard's energy, though all of this is not yet known as of now.

Behavior

The behavior and attacks of the Tempest Golem are currently unknown. A melee attack is suggested by its arms being giant swords on the Howling Peaks artwork. According to the blog post about Minecraft Live 2020[2], it may also be able to summon dangerous winds which could be similar to the attack of the Windcaller. Despite it being extremely large in the poster, it should be about 8 blocks high.
