April 7, 2017The Minecraft: Chinese Edition announced in Water Cube, Beijing. Delegates of Mojang, Microsoft and NetEase attended.
April 10, 2017Closed beta test began.
April 28, 2017Beta server closed without saving data.
May 20, 2017Minecraft server Hypixel announced that a China-exclusive server was to open.
July 14, 2017PC Java test started again with restricted users being allowed to join. Hypixel was available from then on.
August 8, 2017PC Java test started with unrestricted users being allowed to join.
September 15, 2017Pocket Edition is now available in App Store.
October 12, 2017public beta test of Chinese Edition on Android started.
