This is a list of Java Edition 1.14.4 development versions.

1.14.4 Pre-Release 1

1.14.4 Pre-Release 1 (known as 1.14.4-pre1 in the launcher) is the first pre-release for Java Edition 1.14.4, released on July 3, 2019,[1] which adds a new debug report command, changes the suspicious stew effect of poppies, improves performance and fixes bugs.

    • Used to get more detailed information while debugging performance, such as lists of chunks and block entities in each dimension.
      • Saves this information as a .zip file in the .minecraft/debug folder.

1.14.4 Pre-Release 2

1.14.4 Pre-Release 2 (known as 1.14.4-pre2 in the launcher) is the second pre-release for Java Edition 1.14.4, released on July 4, 2019,[2] which makes small changes to villager AI and fixes some bugs.

  • Now stock more items, so they now can trade more items before they lock their trades.
  • Will now remember their gossip after becoming a zombie villager.
    • Gossip about players who converted a zombie villager will now last longer.
  • Can now work without also restocking at the same time.
  • Improved performance of villager pathfinding.

General

Minecraft Realms
  • The "Player Activity" button on the Realms screen has been removed.

1.14.4 Pre-Release 3

1.14.4 Pre-Release 3 (known as 1.14.4-pre3 in the launcher) is the third pre-release for Java Edition 1.14.4, released on July 8, 2019,[3] which adds a splash and attempts to fix a chunk loading lag issue unsuccessfully.[4]

1.14.4 Pre-Release 4 (known as 1.14.4-pre4 in the launcher) is the fourth pre-release for Java Edition 1.14.4, released on July 10, 2019,[5] which modifies server permissions and fixes bugs.

  • Added function-permission-level to server.properties which controls which permission levels functions have.

1.14.4 Pre-Release 6 (known as 1.14.4-pre6 in the launcher) is the sixth pre-release for Java Edition 1.14.4, released on July 15, 2019,[7] which improves performance, removes the camera pivot offset in first-person mode, and fixes some bugs.
