If slabs are used as roof at the upper end of a block, the slabs underside uses the light of the upperside.
Slabs used as roof/floor. The second floor is a closed room with no torches:

Mobs/NPCs[edit | edit source]
[X] Mobs are not able to change the block niveau. Already when they get to a height difference of one block they mostly walk in circles. 220.127.116.11 08:15, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I get this also: all mobs (monsters, animals, villagers) mostly just spin in circles. Sometimes if you get close monsters will chase you, but they usually stop if you get about a dozen blocks away. They seem to especially get hung up trying to move up or down a block. I'm on single player, Java 7, 64-bit, Linux. 18.104.22.168 18:45, 17 December 2012 (UTC) Paul

[A] When shift-clicking items in the right slot, the trade will appear to work as normal. However, when closing the trade GUI, the player will drop a majority of whatever items were used to trade, and whatever items received will act as fake items, disappearing upon being clicked. It has an entry on the Issue Tracker, but due to the Affected Version being incorrect (1.4.2 only), it has yet to be fixed: https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-1580
