A heart of the sea is a rare item that currently has no use.[Bedrock Edition only]

In upcoming versions of both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, it can be crafted into a conduit.

Natural generation[edit]

In 1.13[upcoming] heart of the sea can be found in all buried treasure chests in stacks of 1.

In Bedrock Edition they can be found in all buried treasure chests in stacks of 1.

1.4 beta 1.2.14.2 An entry in the buried treasure loot table was added named nautilus_core, is unobtainable though since the nautilus_core had not been added into the game yet.

Trivia[edit]

  • Before the release of the heart of the sea there was an entry found in the buried treasure chest loot table named nautilus_core which was later revealed to be the heart of the sea. Despite the name change the heart of the sea continues to be referred to as the nautilus_core in most game files.
