Haste is a status effect that increases mining and attack speed per 10%. Negative levels decrease mining and attack speed, similar to Mining Fatigue.

Causes[edit]

Cause Potency Length Notes
Beacon set to Haste I 0:05 – 0:17 Replenishes when in range.
Beacon set to Haste II II 0:17 Replenishes when in range. Requires beacon pyramid level 4.

Immune mobs[edit]

Boss mobs are immune to Haste.[more information needed] Most mobs, while not immune, are unaffected by Haste as they cannot mine blocks.[more information needed]

Interaction with Mining Fatigue[edit]

Mining Fatigue III inflicted by elder guardians prevent the player from Instant breaking most blocks regardless of the Haste effect, Along with a huge decrease of mining speed. However, lower levels of Mining Fatigue can be overcome by Haste of level III or more, with a resultant reduced Haste effect.

Notes[edit]

  • At levels 3 or higher, the player's arm does not move while mining.
  • It also decreases the charging time of sweep attack.
  • Alternative methods of increasing mining speed include: the efficiency enchantment.
