|“||In Minecraft, you're given total freedom to put paths wherever you like. They look particularly good around the outsides of houses, and along routes that you frequently travel. But my favourite paths tip is to use them when traversing the overworld. Make a path as you travel and then you can easily follow it back to where you started. You'll never get lost again!||„|
Grass paths are decorative blocks.
In Java Edition, grass paths can only be gathered in the inventory using commands or pick block. When mined, even with a Silk Touch tool, they drop dirt. In Bedrock Edition, grass paths may be mined with Silk Touch tools and drop itself. In Legacy Console Edition, the block can be found in the creative inventory.

- Times are for unenchanted tools in seconds.
Grass paths are primarily used for decoration, although they do prevent hostile mobs from spawning. They are a similar color to grass blocks placed in a desert or savannah biome. A notable difference is they are only 15⁄16th of a block high, therefore items that require a full block like torches and ladders cannot be placed on them.
A grass path block will convert to dirt if any block with a solid material is placed on top.
