Image missing[]

why does the image not have the book and quill, the written book, and the new cocoa beans even though the thumbnail in the file history does?--Darkychao 00:51, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Because you haven't refreshed your cache. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 04:45, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Sprite sheet size[]

We should really increase the size of the sprite sheet, as assuming the next update has more than 6 items added, we will have no more texture space for the items. Could we simply upload an image with extra blank space below, or will we have to upload a second temporary image to prevent cache errors from compressing the image dimensions? KnightMiner (t|c) 04:16, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Increasing the height only of the image should be fine; changing the width is what causes issues until the caches clear. -- Orthotopetalk 09:16, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
I'll do it in a moment; I'll upload it as a separate image so we don't have problems in mid-maintenance. --Naista2002Book and Quill Iron Pickaxe 09:19, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Done, please change the 'pos' parameter in Module:ItemSprite to 384 and remove File:ItemCSS-updated.png. --Naista2002Book and Quill Iron Pickaxe 11:19, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Orthotope? --Naista2002Book and Quill Iron Pickaxe 07:23, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
Done. -- Orthotopetalk 07:26, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
The 'pos' parameter is for the default sprite, it really did not need to be changed, as the default is located at location 256. If we do change it, it may have minor problems if the sprite was called directly, but otherwise we could simply move the default sprite to 384.KnightMiner (t|c) 00:00, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, I thought that it is the amount of slots, just with an incorrect name. Originally I thought of moving the [?] sprite, but later decided to keep it where it was. --Naista2002Book and Quill Iron Pickaxe 07:55, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Does make it a little easier to add sprite, since the default is at the bottom, and more consistent with {{BlockSprite}}. KnightMiner (t|c) 16:38, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Paddle[]

Hey there, I added the paddle to this file. Yetanotherguy undid that because it's "Not official. The clearest image of the paddle can be found here". Actually, it's official that there will be paddles. There exist paddle pages on some wikis (p.g. the German and the Russian one). We (the authors of the German wiki) want to syncronize the file, so it's easy to update. Also, in the EntityCSS-File, there also is the Red Dragon at position 30, a mob that is actually not announced to the game, it just was mentioned sometime. And I don't think that is an official texture. | violine1101(Talk) 22:19, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

What I meant was that the image you uploaded wasn't official. This is the origin of the image. KingSpikey99 said he edited the wooden shovel texture to look like a paddle. Yetanotherguy 22:38, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
That's right, but I would say that the paddle I added shouldn't be deleted just because its texture actually is not confirmed at the moment. We can use KingSpikey99's texture as a placeholder until the paddle is released, in my view. | violine1101(Talk) 23:49, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
I personally believe all sprites of features not in release, older, or development versions should have sprites removed from the sheets, especially since we no longer use them in the navigation boxes. KnightMiner (t·c) 04:10, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
Hmm, then I believe that we just should wait until we have the official texture. We'll bypass the problem on the German wiki for as long as the paddle sprite lacks. | violine1101(Talk) 16:25, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

PE boat 0.12[]

Please add the new boat sprites from MCPE 0.12. --MarioProtIV (talk) 19:33, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Done. -Yetanotherguy 21:12, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Spawn egg[]

Why was the generic spawn egg sprite replaced with the Ocelot spawn egg sprite? Is there a reason to have only the Ocelot egg and not all the mob eggs? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:24, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

It was CmdLP who did that; maybe he has some explanation? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 02:25, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
It's been almost half a year without any comments here, so we might as well just add the rest of the spawn eggs (including re-adding the generic one) already. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 11:20, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
The way is clear for this to be done: the item-sprite template is now generally-editable by registered users, just like the other sprite templates. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 15:57, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Yes, but the only spawn egg sprite in this image is the ocelot egg. As long as that's the case, editing the item sprite template won't do anything. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:04, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
I meant that the sprite editor will work on the item sprite template now. But I've only used it to remove a few deprecated names, let me further make sure it can actually be used to swap out an image. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 16:57, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
I suppose we'll wait for the cache, to find out. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 17:04, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
 Done! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 00:09, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
Do you have any thoughts on adding all the mob-specific spawn eggs as well? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:44, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
I know the Spawn Egg page and the Data_values/Entity_IDs page are using half-size InvSprites at the moment, to display what would otherwise be ItemSprites. I guess that should be changed?
I wonder too: is the full set of spawn eggs the only set missing from ItemSprite, or are there more? Banners, certainly, but that would be insane. Colored beds.. maybe more.. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 03:06, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
I see little reason not to if they have a use on an article. KnightMiner t/c 03:05, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

Knowledge Book[]

Can someone add Sprite of Knowledge Book to CSS? (Note:I'm Japanese and my English is poor.)--{{User:Beans1512/Sign}} 10:53, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Done. Someone had uploaded the sprite a few weeks ago, but now it's usable in the template: Knowledge Book Sealbudsman talk/contr 15:59, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Oh... Thank you! :)--{{User:Beans1512/Sign}} 01:10, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
