Curse of Binding is an enchantment that prevents removal of the cursed item from its armor slot.

This is a treasure enchantment; it is obtained only from chest loot, fishing, or trading for enchanted books.

In Bedrock Edition, this enchantment is available only via third-party software

An item with the Curse of Binding cannot be removed from any armor slot unless the player is in Creative mode, the player dies, or the item breaks. For items without durability, the player must die to remove the item, making it permanently unable to be removed once equipped in Hardcore mode.

If the keepInventory gamerule is set to true, the player keeps the cursed item even after death. Only breaking the item removes it.

A player cannot remove the enchantment using a grindstone; instead, the item returns to the player still cursed.

If a player applies the enchantment to a carved pumpkin and wears it, the player becomes unable to remove the carved pumpkin by breaking the item. If gamerule keepInventory is set to true, it becomes impossible for the player to remove the carved pumpkin without cheating ingame.
