Allows the player to control playing music tracks.

Syntax[edit]

music play <trackName: string> [volume: float] [fadeSeconds: float] [repeatMode: MusicRepeatMode]
Plays the music track.
music queue <trackName: string> [volume: float] [fadeSeconds: float] [repeatMode: MusicRepeatMode]
Add the music tracks to the queue.
music stop [fadeSeconds: float]
Stops the music.
music volume <volume: float>
Adjusting the music volume.

Arguments[edit]

trackName: string: basic_string

Must be a string. And it must be either a single word (no spaces) or a quoted string.
Should be a music name (e.g. record.cat), or a music defined under the Json path "record.<music_name>" or "music.game.<music_name>" in the <a_resource_pack>/sounds/sound_definitions.json file (e.g. cat to play "Cat" music disc).
Specifies a music to play.

volume: float: float

Must be a Single-precision floating-point format number. Must be between 0 and 1 (inclusive).
Specifies the volume of the music.

fadeSeconds: float: float

Must be a Single-precision floating-point format number. Must be between 0 and 10 (inclusive).
Specifies the duration music fades in/out.

repeatMode: MusicRepeatMode

Must be one of loop and play_once.
Specified whether set the music on repeat or not. If unspecified, defaults to play_once
