Channeling is a trident enchantment that produces lightning.

Obtaining[edit]

Channeling is available from enchantment tables, raid drops,‌[Bedrock Edition only] books obtained by fishing, minecart chests, librarian villagers, and from chests found in dungeons, desert pyramids, jungle pyramids, strongholds, pillager outposts, woodland mansions, and big underwater ruins.

Usage[edit]

Channeling summons a lightning bolt when a mob is hit by a thrown trident if there is currently a thunderstorm going on.

The mob must be exposed to the open sky in order for the enchantment to work. The mob cannot be in water while being hit with this enchantment. This enchantment allows the player to change creepers, villagers, pigs, and red mooshrooms into charged creepers, witches, zombie pigmen, and brown mooshrooms, respectively.

Incompatibilities[edit]

Channeling and Riptide are mutually exclusive.
