Bad Omen is a status effect that causes a raid to appear if a player with this effect enters a village boundary (any area with at least a villager and a bed).

Causes[edit]

Cause Potency Length Notes
Illager captain I 1:40:00 If outpost captain killed.
If patrol captain killed.‌[Bedrock Edition only]
Illager captain I - III 1:40:00 If patrol captain killed.‌[Java Edition only]
All villagers die during raids I 1:40:00 Player must within village boundary.‌[Bedrock Edition only]

Killing more illager captains while the effect is still ongoing will stack the level up to 6 (VI)‌[Java Edition only].

Immune mobs[edit]

No mobs are immune from bad omen, however only player who can trigger raid.[more information needed]
