What the Void looks like.

This page lists ways of reaching the Void.

Note: The page only considers the space above the Nether as the Void due to being obstructed by bedrock, like the Void below each dimension.

Cheats

• Teleport below the layer 0 using /tp (<targets>|<destination>|<x>)*.
• Make a hole using /fill ~ 0 ~ ~ ~ ~ air*.
• Spawn an explosive entity powerful enough to break bedrock (e.g. spawning a Ghast fireball using /summon ~ ~ ~ Fireball {ExplosionPower:5000}), and break bedrock with it.

The Nether's top

• Teleport above the layer 127 using /tp (<targets>|<destination>|<x>)*.
• Make a hole using /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ 128 ~ air*.

* - Can be also done with map editors.

Creative

• Simply break the bedrock.

Survival

• Grow a dark oak tree near bedrock, then remove the bottom layer of wood and re-plant dark oak saplings. Repeat until the "branches" grow downwards and replace the bedrock, then remove these branches.

The Overworld

• Find a reachable breakable block in layer 0 (this can be near-impossibly caused by generated structures, notably dungeons).

Pocket Edition

• Activate a Nether reactor on top of the bedrock level, then activate another one 2 blocks deeper, and afterwards the third one 1 block deeper than the last one.

• Push your player into a column of blocks, make sure that it extends up to the bedrock, then disconnect and reconnect. On reconnect, the player will be moved into the lowest free space above, which will be above the bedrock.
• Find an empty space below the last bedrock layer (not fully enclosed horizontally in bedrock), place a block right below it, and a ladder on another block next to it. Teleport there using Ender pearls, then climb the ladder and jump out.
• In the same layout as above (without the ladder), place a boat below bedrock, mount it, and, while sitting, place another one above, mount it and get out.

The End

• Jump off the island.
• Dig your way through the bottom of the End.

Superflat

• If using a Superflat map without bedrock layers, one can mine through the bottom and reach the Void.

Getting out of the Nether's top in Survival

• Store items in an Ender chest, then kill your character. As long as there is another Ender chest placed (and all items are stored), no items are lost.
• Use the dark oak trick listed above.
• Build a portal on the Nether's top and go through it.
