MainMenu

The main menu of Minecraft with random splash text.

Splash texts are the yellow lines of text on the title screen. They are randomly chosen from the list below and often feature references to popular culture (e.g. websites, quotes and video games). The splashes are defined in a plain-text file within the Minecraft .jar file (versions/(Minecraft version)/(Minecraft version).jar/assets/minecraft/texts/splashes.txt). The splash pulsates on the title screen at a frequency of 2 Hz (120 BPM).

Splash texts are not translated and appear the same regardless of the language setting chosen.

Splashes can be edited to the player's liking with a resource pack by editing the splashes.txt file in assets/minecraft/texts.
