Trivia

  • The Nintendo Switch Edition (alongside the Wii U Edition) is the most expensive edition of Minecraft to date, at $29.99.
    • This is due to the game releasing with The Super Mario Mash-Up pack, and trial versions of other mash-up packs and texture packs.
      • All DLC included with the Nintendo Switch Edition are the same as the Xbox One Edition Holiday Pack, with the exception of the Halo Mash-up pack, which is exclusive to Xbox platforms.
    • This is ahead of the computer edition of Minecraft by just $3.04.
  • The game runs at 720p in TV Mode because of technical difficulties with enabling the resolution to change during gameplay.
  • Compared to the Xbox One Edition and PlayStation 4 Edition, the Nintendo Switch Edition has a lower render distance, and has neither the Large world size nor the Amplified Worlds option.
