The Fandom Minecraft Wiki Discord server is a place for readers, editors and administrators of the Minecraft Wiki to discuss and talk about the wiki.

Rules

Please read the following rules before joining the Minecraft Wiki Discord server:

  1. The following is prohibited:
    • Spam, self promotion and advertising.
    • Any kind of offensive or otherwise controversial content. Notably, keep the chat SFW.
    • Any kind of harassment, personal attack, and derogatory language.
    • Illegal content.
    • Sharing others' personal information.
  2. Do not ping individuals or roles abusively.
  3. Use channels for what they're meant. Each channel has a topic that tells you what it is for.
    • Notably, do not ask for people to play with, or ask for help with creating a server, game troubleshooting, or account assistance.
  4. Keep discussion in English.
  5. Please make sure that editors who don't use Discord can take part in important wiki-related discussions. If you have a major proposal, please post it on the wiki and give all editors a chance to comment.
  6. Follow Discord TOS (https://discord.com/terms). Notably, you must be at least 13-16 years depending on where you live.

Roles

On the server, there are a few roles:

  • Wiki Staff Pingable – A role that anyone can ping if they immediately need a wiki admin. Self-assigned by Wiki Staff who want to be pinged by this role.
  • Wiki Staff – Obtained by being an administrator or higher on the wiki and verifying one's account in the server. See the pinned message in #verification for instructions.
  • Moderator - Obtained by being in autopatrol or higher on the wiki and verifying one's account in the server. See the pinned message in #verification for instructions.
  • Member - Obtained by being a user on the wiki and verifying one's account in the server. See the pinned message in #verification for instructions.
  • Bots (and bot-specific roles) – Given to bots.

Channels

The channels are split up into multiple categories:

The unnamed section (standard)

  • #rules – For rules of the Discord.
  • #announcements - For all announcements that do not require posting on the wiki itself.
  • #external-announcements – For announcements about Minecraft and Fandom from their respective official Discord servers.
  • #verification

Text Channels

  • #hello - For saying hello.
  • #minecraft – For talk pertaining to Minecraft.
  • #modded-minecraft – For talk pertaining to modifications for Minecraft.
  • #off-topic – For talk not pertaining to Minecraft or the Minecraft Wiki.
  • #wiki-talk – For discussing the wiki and Fandom in general.

Wiki & Moderation

  • #upkeep – For talk pertaining to how to improve the Minecraft Wiki or its Discord.
  • #wiki-staff – For moderators, administrators, and bureaucrats to privately discuss stuff--whether for fun or for upkeep.
  • #bot-commands - For bot commands.
  • #recent-changes
