Any purpose?[]

The loop doesn't have much uses, so why even make this tutorial? If it has some use, it would be better to have it in Tutorials/Mechanisms or Clock circuit (as we can use tripwire to make it a clock generator). --Naista2002Book and Quill Iron Pickaxe 07:09, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

Hunger?[]

The article says "Using this pool will cause your hunger bar to go down..."

What if you sit in a boat that circles around? You don't get hungry when in a boat. Amatulic (talk) 06:56, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Wide-Channel AFK Pool[]

The article includes an image of a wide-channel AFK pool which involves a boat to prevent your hunger from being depleted. Could the dimensions, a schematic, and the resources required be included? TheLegendaryOrb (talk) 00:55, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

There are a huge variety of designs possible. You can have two water source blocks, four water source blocks, water coming from opposite corners or every corner, management of flow using signs or slabs, etc. The center island can be a single block, a 4-block square, or even a rectangle. There are too many possibilities to highlight one specific design in this article.
It might be appropriate to include a general purpose tutorial about building a moat that you can float around in. That would be applicable to an endless circling pool. I think it would be cool to have a moat surrounding my home base with me patrolling around it endlessly in a boat. Amatulic (talk) 15:39, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
OK, I added a moat tutorial to this article, with schematics that can be used as building blocks for any arbitrary moat including a square circling pool. I included a couple of pictures of an endless circling moat I built around a home base on the edge of a canyon. Amatulic (talk) 20:44, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
...and now there's a schematic for a minimal endless circling pool that accommodates a boat. It's just one layer, and the materials needed are obvious. Amatulic (talk) 00:53, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
True, I didn't really think about all the possible designs that could be used. TheLegendaryOrb (talk) 18:17, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
It occurred to me that a bunch of boats circling a moat around a home base, each filled with skeletons, would be a way to guard it from intruders, although it would also be difficult for you to get in and out unless you have a secret passage. Amatulic (talk) 23:24, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
