PLEASE PUT A PROTECTION ON THIS PAGE[]

Could it be possible to set this page at the same protection level as the Upcoming features page to avoid griefing from unregistered users ? It happened a few times and this page is the perfect target for griefers.

Thanks in advance =)

It was already added, did you check here? --KnightMiner (t|c) 00:02, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
sorry i meant to the news collum on the main page 68.4.61.138 00:03, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
This page really is separate from that one, it may be relevent to ask at Talk:Minecraft Wiki. --KnightMiner (t|c) 00:09, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

"Order of the Stone"[]

Isn't this...wait so Telltale reused that for the Order of the Stone in story mode. BloxxingBlocks (talk) 07:20, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

dead references[]

The XBLA references are dead links. Is it appropriate to point to a waybackmachine (internet archive) backup? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 22:37, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

I think its fine as long as it is a trustworthy site (such as archive.org that Wikipedia has used). KnightMiner t/c 23:05, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Update summaries[]

I made a page, User: Nixinova/Updates, that lists what updates there were each year for JE, BE/PE, and LCE. I think this should be added near the top of this page so people have an overview of what happened in each year. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 22:14, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

  • I've gone ahead and added it. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 03:10, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Removing some information about employees and minor version updates[]

This page has a decent amount of personal information about (ex-)employees that is not directly related to Minecraft, such as birth dates, Notch going on a trip to the U.S., and Notch being threatened with a lawsuit over "Scrolls". The birth dates may pose issues if an employee decides to retract them, like what happened with the Ez page (except that many more edits will need to be hidden). In addition, a lot of the more recent events are minor version updates, which drown out more interesting events such as book releases, Minecon, or developers joining/leaving Mojang.

I think we should remove the minor version updates (though mentioning them under "Updates per year" is fine), the birth dates, and some of the less important details from the Notch days. –Sonicwave talk 00:18, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

Agreed, this contains a lot of personal info, we should remove a lot of content (although that would require a lot of rev-delete), some should stay like the employees that are still working for mojang, also, if the employee has said their birthday in a non-deleted tweet, keep it, if it's deleted, don't keep it.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 00:22, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Agreed with removing personal information and minor version updates. --AttemptToCallNil (talk) 19:31, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
Delete this page Maybe a surprising, but I feel this page is not needed any way. Everybody knows, that numvers go from 0 up to infinite. We have many alternative ways, such as "too long employes template", Java, Bedrock, LCEs and more version templates. Devs joining/leaving is the worst thing I would add to a page (unless you want to have problems with laws), Minecons go year by a year except one year and books are only thing, but these can be on their respective pages. At the end, this page is a trash container of everything but all things can be recycled (in this case info was already recycled), so this container (page) is obselote. --TreeIsLife (talk) 20:51, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
