Stained Glass[]

It's coming in 0.17.0/1.0/1.0.0 and there might be a beta build 3 for 0.17.0/1.0/1.0.0 Xxprox9 (talk) 12:33, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

And how do you know that? Redrooey =^.^= (talk) 17:20, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
They've been in the game since 0.17.0.1 build 1. I know this for two reasons:
  1. It's declared in the game code, and both Stained Glass Blocks and Panes have an ID of 241 and 160 respectively (Screenshot)
  2. Magenta stained glass blocks are used in end cities. You can test this yourself by standing over a glass block in the End and using the command: /testforblock ~ ~-1 ~ stained_glass 2 (Note that the data value of 2 tests for magenta stained glass) (Screenshot1 Screenshot2)
So yes, stained glass blocks are in the game, but they use the standard glass texture. However, you can use resource packs to change the texture and make stained glass colorful, albeit glitchy (Screenshot). There is no way to obtain stained glass, even with silk touch, without inventory editing, and currently only magenta stained glass blocks are used by the game as a placeholder in end cities. I can confirm that stained glass will NOT be in 1.0 or beta build 3. I'm writing the changelog for beta build 3 as I type this. As Jocopa3 said, it's only available via inventory editing and not in its final form. --HelenAngel (talk) 00:21, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
