Name Dispute[]

I personally think the page name should just be "Bricks" if we're planning on renaming and merging everything about bricks here. What's the in-game name of the block? I think it should be that. - Apollyna (T|C) 20:26, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

If the ingame name is "Bricks" then by all means, fix the move template and the thingie on the list at the discussion. I can't test the ingame names, so it would be amazingly helpful if someone could. XD Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 20:33, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Done. :'D - Apollyna (T|C) 22:01, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Not sure if it matters, but the in-game tooltip name of the block is "Bricks", but it's "tile.brick" in the code (as opposed to "item.brick" for the single clay brick item). I have another naming idea, but I don't want to post it twice, so see the [[Talk:Brick (Item)|Brick (item) talk page]] for details. Aeviternity 19:31, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Also, The name bricks is more simple than Brick(Block)

Rename Proposal[]

I think this should be renamed from Bricks to Brick Block to avoid confusion with the item. The conversation above has a statement stating that “bricks” was simpler than “brick (block)”, but I think it just makes it more helpful, because if someone wants to know about the item and types in “Bricks”, they will find the block instead of the item. —98.230.115.82 19:13, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

The wiki follows the names of objects as they are in Java Edition, and there it's called Bricks; additionally, an about template is at the top having a link to the item. FVbico (talk) 19:41, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
