Stained Glass is the dyed version of glass that can be used for decoration purposes. It functions exactly the same as normal glass, except it cannot be used in the same crafting recipes.
Stained glass will not drop anything when broken, unless a tool enchanted with silk touch is used, in which case the glass will drop itself.
Most blocks that require placement on a solid block cannot be placed on stained glass.
