Snowballs can be obtained by breaking snow blocks (4 snowballs) when using a shovel without silk touch and by breaking snow layers using a shovel (1-8 snowballs, one per layer).

Snow Golems[edit | edit source]

Snow Golems drop 0-15 snowballs upon death.

Combat[edit | edit source]

Snowballs can be thrown by using them. They are affected by gravity.

Snowballs are able to knockback mobs and gives the same effect as if the mob were being damaged. They deal 3 (Heart.svgHalf Heart.svg) to blazes. They deal no damage to other mobs, but mobs will still flash red as a damage indicator. They can still damage armor.

Snowballs can be fired from dispensers.
