"If you get administratively involved with an article, avoid being editorially involved with that article for some time" Please explain. --HexZyle 16:00, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

Basically, it means that if you use an admin tool on an article (most commonly by protecting it), you should refrain from editing it beyond what's necessary to complete the admin task you're doing. Personally I don't agree, though; it's far more important to refrain from taking admin actions on an article you're already involved in as an editor, to avoid the appearance of using your tools to get your way (if the situation is such). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:08, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
So that supports the statement that whenever you reach a disagreement with another user, you always turn to another admin for help rather than revert war (against rules) or lock page (selfishness)? --HexZyle 04:39, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes. Administrative tools are only meant to help in maintaining the wiki, they are not to be used as leverage in editorial disputes (regardless of who's "right" or who's involved). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:59, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
