History[edit | edit source]
|February 19, 2010||Added feathers. They can be used to craft arrows.|
|They dropped from zombies.|
|1.8||Zombies drop rotten flesh instead of feathers. Now, chickens are the only source of feathers. The reason that zombies used to drop feathers is that they were used as a placeholder (before chickens were implemented in the game). It stayed this way because Notch did not know what exactly zombies would drop.|
|1.3.1||12w17a||Feathers are now used to craft book and quills.|
|1.4.6||12w49a||Feathers are now used to craft a firework star with a burst effect.|
|1.12||17w13a||Parrots now drop feathers.|
|Pocket Edition Alpha|
|0.3.3||Added feathers. They can be used to craft arrows.|
|0.11.0||build 1||Zombies now drop rotten flesh instead of feathers.|
|TU1||CU1||1.0||Patch 1||Added feathers.|
