Natural generation[edit | edit source]
Stacks of bread can be found in several types of naturally generated chests:
- Bonus chests: 2–3 bread per stack.
- Dungeons: 1 bread per stack.
- Mineshafts: 1–3 bread per stack.
- Villages: 1–3 bread per stack.
- Strongholds (slab altars and store rooms): 1-3 bread per stack.

Villager farmers may craft wheat that they harvest into bread and throw at other villagers.

Breeding[edit | edit source]
Bread can be used to make villagers willing to breed by dropping bread so they pick it up. When their inventory fills up, they might throw some bread at other villagers.
