Bones can be used to make Bone Meal, which serves two main purposes:
- As a fertilizer, which grows many plants to their fully mature state after 2-5 uses.
- As a crafting ingredient in Wool Dyes. It can also make sheep white.

- As with Sticks and Blaze Rods, Bones are wielded as a tool instead of an item.
- The bone appears to be the femur, the humerus, or the tibia of a human, however is more likely to be the femur, because the humerus and tibia are slightly curved. This does not rule out the possibility of it being either of those two, however.
