Bones are items.

Obtaining[edit]

Natural generation[edit]

Bones can be found in chests hidden in desert temples and jungle temples in stacks of 4 to 6.

Mobs[edit]

Skeletons and wither skeletons may drop 0–2 bones upon death.

Fishing[edit]

Bones can also be obtained by fishing as part of the junk category. The best chance of catching a bone is achieved without the Lure or Luck of the Sea enchantments, yielding a 1.2% chance.

Usage[edit]

Using a bone on a wild wolf has a 13 chance of taming it. Bones cannot tame an angry wolf or a wolf that someone else has already tamed.
